Architects Alessandro Ripellino and Inga Varg took charge of Rosenbergs Arkitekter in 1993.Together, they transformed the practice into one of the leading representatives and renewers of Swedish human modernism. In their work, they give equal consideration to beauty and functionality; each project is infused with poetic simplicity and lends elegance to daily life. Rosenberg Arkitekter ended their practice 2013. They continue separately as Alessandro Ripellino Arkitekter and Varg Arkitekter. Today, their separate practices continue to build upon the legacy established in the their two decades together as Rosenbergs Arkitekter. The rich history of Rosenbergs has given way to each architect's own, distinctive method of handling projects of all sizes, from small building details to larger master plans. This book documents their shared legacy, providing an in-depth look at Alessandro Ripellino and Inga Varg's formative years at the helm of Rosenbergs Arkitekter. As Lars Marcus points out in his essay, "what distinguished Rosenbergs Arkitekter was their ability to, more often than others, succeed in the performative level of design, to even have the ambition to do so, and to do so in all scales.

?A house is a built idea. A chair is a manufactured idea. But the model is the idea?, write the architects Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune. In this book the models made by Claesson Koivisto Rune (CKR) are photographed and redesigned by Gabor Palotai. In Gabor Palotai?s photography, the models display visions, and as such become spectral.
