DCAI 2022 is a forum to present applications of innovative techniques for studying and solving complex problems in artificial intelligence and computing areas.

The present book brings together experience, current work, and promising future trends associated with distributed computing, artificial intelligence, and their application in order to provide efficient solutions to real problems.

This book presents applications of innovative techniques for studying and solving complex problems in artificial intelligence and computing. This edition brings together experience, current work, and promising future trends related to distributed computing, artificial intelligence, and their applications to provide efficient solutions to real-world problems. Given the conference's success, this edition features twelve special sessions covering a wide range of topics related to AI and other areas of interest. These sessions were carefully curated to address the latest advancements and challenges in fields such as machine learning, neural networks, IoT, big data, and blockchain, among others. The accepted papers from these sessions are presented in two volumes, showcasing the diverse and innovative research being conducted in these domains. This is the first volume, which includes the sessions: Artificial intelligence for enhanced cyber security (AI4CS), AI-driven methods for multimodal networks and processes modeling (AIMPM), computational linguistics, information, reasoning, and AI (CLIRAI), novel technologies for smart industry and mobility (SmartMob), intelligent Internet of things security and privacy (WISP) and revolutionizing carbon farming by nature-based business models and emerging innovations in the field of artificial intelligence, satellite and green technologies (INNO4CFIS), each focusing on specific themes within the broader scope of AI and its applications. The DCAI’24 technical program has selected 74 papers in special sessions and, as in past editions, it will be special issues in ranked journals. This book provides a multidisciplinary view of autonomous and smart mobility systems with a focus on autonomous vehicles (AVs), connectedness of the infrastructure, applications, artificial intelligence, and big data. The book discusses various drivers that are pushing us towards the smart mobility era. The authors define its major dimensions and review the ongoing developments in the field. This book constitutes the refereed post-conference proceedings of the First International Conference on Smart Cities, Infrastructures, Technologies and Applications, SCITA 2017, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in November 2017.The 35 revised full papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 62 submissions. The papers are grouped in topical sections: infrastructure track, e-governance and transportation track, healthcare track, applications track.

The First International ICST Conference on Communications Infrastructure, Systems and Applications in Europe (EuropeComm 2009) was held August 11–13, 2009, in London. EuropeComm 2009 brought together decision makers from the EU comm- sion, top researchers and industry executives to discuss the directions of communi- tions research and development in Europe. The event also attracted academia and industry representatives, as well as government officials to discuss the current dev- opments and future trends in technology, applications and services in the communi- tions field. Organizing this conference was motivated by the fact that the development and - ployment of future services will require a common global-scale infrastructure, and therefore it is important that designers and stakeholders from all the systems stacks come together to discuss these developments. Rapidly decreasing costs of compu- tional power, storage capacity, and communication bandwidth have led to the dev- opment of a multitude of applications carrying an increasingly huge amount of traffic on the global networking infrastructure. What we have seen is an evolution: an inf- structure looking for networked applications has evolved into an infrastructure str- gling to meet the social, technological and business challenges posed by the plethora of bandwidth-hungry emerging applications.

This book constitutes the joint refereed proceedings of the Third International Workshop on Communication Technologies for Vehicles, Nets4Cars 2011and the First International Workshop on Communication Technologies for Vehicles in the Railway Transportation, Nets4Trains 2011, held in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany, in March 2011. The 7 full papers of the rail track and 12 full papers of the road track presented together with a keynote were carefully reviewed and selected from 13 and 21 submissions respectively. They provide an overview over the latest technologies and research in the field of intra- and inter-vehicle communication and present original research results in areas relating to communication protocols and standards, mobility and traffic models, experimental and field operational testing, and performance analysis.
