The poet Samih Al-Qasim devoted all his concern to the Palestinian issue and was devoted to this issue. He even said about his position on Arab normalization with Israel, "If all Arabs were normal, there would remain one person in the Galilee who rejected normalization, and that is Samih Al-Qasim."Despite his continued detention, he did not give up his case, but rather wrote his poems in it that resembled bullet wounds. His poems are characterized by a revolutionary infusion, a rebellious spirit, and the delivery of meaning through the shortest path in what looks like flashes, and the revelation of the deep contradiction in the structure of reality. Therefore, a large number of his poems have been translated into English, French, Turkish, Russian, German, Japanese, Spanish, Greek, Italian, Czech, Vietnamese, Persian, and other languages. He received from Spain the Al-Babtain Award for Poetic Creativity and the Naguib Mahfouz Award for Arabic Literature. He is a prolific poet, and from among these many poems we have chosen a collection of poems that resemble pearls.
