Beskrivning
for SATB and piano Slow Down has a relaxed swing feel, with imaginative lyrics by the composer that encourage us to take time out of our busy lives. The vocal lines explore a swung quaver style, along with scat syllables and jazzy harmonies, all underpinned by a supportive yet characterful piano part. Also available for cambiata voices and piano in the Emerging Voices series, and for TTBB and piano.

Mer om författaren

Ian Assersohn is a British composer, arranger, workshop leader, and choral director whose works have been widely performed both in the UK and abroad. His music, which has won a number of international awards, is prized by performers and audiences for its accessible style, appealing melodic and harmonic invention, and sensitive word-setting. Among his large-scale works are Dies Irae, a cantata of remembrance for three choirs, soloists, and orchestra; The Pied Piper of Hamelin, an entertainment for adult and children's choirs; Air and Angels for baritone solo, choir, brass quintet, timpani, and piano; and Ionian Mass, a secular work for mixed choir and piano. He has also written a wide variety of smaller-scale original works and arrangements for choirs of all types. His music appears in a number of anthologies including The Oxford Book Of Easy Flexible Anthems and the The Oxford Book of Flexible Choral Songs.
