Eileen F. Baker, MD, PhD, FACEP grew up in Santa Rosa, California, and received her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from the University of California, Davis. She graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Summa Health System in Akron Ohio. She has worked as a community emergency physician since 2001, and moved to Bowling Green, Ohio, to pursue her PhD in Applied Philosophy at Bowling Green State University. In addition to clinical duties at five emergency departments in northwest Ohio, Dr. Baker teaches Medical Ethics at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences.

This book is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone in the field of emergency medicine. It goes through actual cases and breaks down what could have been done differently to avoid legal action and provide the best care possible to the patient... Overall, this book is very well organized and informative.
