Lotte Hedeager is Professor at the University of Oslo . She became professor in 1996 and for more than twenty years she taught archaeology and was head of the graduate program. She was one of the initiators of the Nordic Graduate School in Archaeology and served as its director 2006-2021. She has served as member of national and international research councils and review panels, has among others been editor of World Archaeology .Christopher Prescott is Professor emeritus at the University of Oslo and has taught archaeology there since 1996. He has been involved in several national and international archaeological field projects, the Nordic Graduate School in archaeology DialPast and was editor of the Norwegian Archaeological Review. He was previously at the University of Bergen (1989-1996) and was director at the Norwegian Institute in Rome (2017-2021). His research is concerned with Scandinavian Prehistory (Neolithic and Bronze Age, mountain archaeology andtranshumance, metallurgy), the Archaic Period in Sicily, disciplinary history, theory and method, environmental archaeology, heritage issues and the illicit trade in archaeological artefacts. Kristian Kristiansen is senior Professor at the University of Gothenburg , Department of Historical Studies, since 1994, and Affiliated professor at Globe Institute, Copenhagen University since 2020. As a broad-minded interdisciplinary researcher, his research combines grand narratives with in-depth studies of local settlements, and collaboration with scientists. Throughout his career he has also been engaged in various capacities in archaeological heritage. He was one of the initiators of the mobility turn in archaeology, launched in his prize awarded book with Thomas Larsson: The Rise of Bronze Age Society, and in his subsequent ERC advanced grant The Rise (2011-2016), in collaboration with the Eske Willerslev aDNA team, and other archaeological sciences (strontium and lead isotopic analyses)it was demonstrated that migrations and mobility had been a prominent feature of the genetic and cultural formation of western Eurasia during the Bronze Age.
