Louis R. Caplan is Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, a senior member of the Division of Cerebrovascular Disease at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, and the founder of the Harvard Stroke Registry. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland Medical School in 1962. Caplan is also the author or editor of 52 books including The Effective Clinical Neurologist (2010) and Stroke, 2nd edition (2016), and more than 700 journal articles.Vasileios-Arsenios Lioutas is Assistant Professor at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston and serves as Assistant Director of the Vascular Neurology Fellowship. He attended Medical School at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki School of Medicine before completing his Neurology residency at Boston University Medical Center, and his subspecialty training in Vascular Neurology at Harvard Medical School. Lioutas is Board Certified in Neurology, Vascular Neurology (American Board of Psychiatry andNeurology), and Neurosonology (American Society of Neuroimaging). He has published more than 50 articles and co-edited Stroke, 2nd edition (2016).
