Neurochemistry is the study of the cellular and subcellular components of the nervous system and the molecules found within it. The nervous system is complex and neurochemistry a diverse field in which there has been much interest recently, for example in the increased awareness of pathological brain conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, depression, and mania.
