Expert guidance on the law, police powers, and professional standards is given, along with clear operational advice on crime scene management, managing people and incidents, working within Neighbourhood Policing Teams, and dealing with public order situations. Comprehensive and practical, this book is essential reading for anyone joining or thinking of joining the Special Constabulary, especially those on pre-join or policing studies courses. It will also be of interest to Specials trainers and managers, and sergeants and inspectors responsible for Specials.
