Recensioner i media
"The three volumes of The Notre Dame History of Hispanic Catholics in the U.S. series are an important contribution not only for those interested in the study of Hispanic Catholics but also for those interested in the study of Hispanic immigration to the United States." —MultiCultural Review"Vidal's narrative of Puerto Rican Catholicism is a masterful summary. . . . [R]eaders will be grateful for the insights that this volume--and the others in the series--offer about Latino religious life. This is an important book for those who want to understand Roman Catholicism in the United States." —The Journal of Religion"This book provides tremendous insights into the history and ... challenges of the Catholic Church in America. It further provides insights for anyone seeking to understand how to communicate the gospel to people unlike themselves." —Missiology
