    Beskrivning

Advances in Noncoding RNA Diagnostics and Therapeutics in Immunity and Cancer explores the critical role of noncoding RNAs in immune-mediated diseases and cancers, providing an essential resource on their diagnostic and therapeutic potential. The book contributes valuable insights into the pathobiology of noncoding RNAs and their application in various diseases, delving into the latest research on noncoding RNAs, including their mechanisms, interactions, and roles in disease. In addition, it examines how noncoding RNAs influence immune responses, inflammation, and cancer progression. With a focus on both diagnostic and therapeutic applications, this book highlights the potential of noncoding RNAs as biomarkers and therapeutic targets.

Across comprehensive chapters, the book covers a wide range of topics, including the role of virus-encoded microRNAs in immune evasion, the therapeutic aspects of non-coding RNA in hepatocellular carcinoma, the impact of microRNAs in periodontal inflammation, and the involvement of miRNAs and lncRNAs in regulating the tumor microenvironment in HCC. Other chapters explore the functions and clinical value of tumor-derived exosomes and miRNAs in cancer immune response, the interaction of noncoding RNA in cancer metastasis, and a panorama of non-coding RNA in prostate cancer. This book is an invaluable resource for basic science researchers in the noncoding RNA field, cancer biologists, immunologists and RNA biologists interested in the latest advancements in noncoding RNA research.

    • Provides comprehensive and up-to-date insights into the role of noncoding RNAs in immunity and cancer, highlighting their diagnostic and therapeutic potential
    • Explores the molecular mechanisms and therapeutic aspects of noncoding RNAs in immune-mediated diseases and cancers, offering practical applications for researchers
    • Investigates virus-encoded microRNAs, exosome-derived miRNAs, and noncoding RNA interactions in cancer metastasis, presenting cutting-edge research from leading experts
    • Examines the role of microRNAs and lncRNAs in regulating tumor microenvironments and their potential as biomarkers and therapeutic targets
    • Delivers critical analysis and future perspectives on the use of noncoding RNAs in disease pathogenesis, diagnostics, and therapeutics, empowering researchers to advance their work

He started his research career at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, New Delhi, India as a molecular virologist. He has established his research group in the domain of oral mucosal immunology focusing on how viruses (and their derived microRNAs)-mediated mechanisms affect cell differentiation, host immune responses and alter activation status of macrophages, which are critical mediators of inflammation and resolution. Dr. Naqvi has published more than 60 articles in peer-reviewed journals. His lab research is supported by National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded grants. Dr. Maryam Sarwat is an Indian Citizen, working as an Associate Professor in the Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University, Noida. She has obtained her Ph. D. in 2007 and completed postdoctoral research at ICGEB, New Delhi. She has received several research grants from various R & D agencies such as DST, DBT, CCRUM and SERB in India. She has presented her findings in scientific conferences in various countries like Germany, Czech Republic and France etc. Dr. Sarwat has mentored six PhD and fifteen Masters’ students.
