    Beskrivning

Navigating the Microplastic Landscape provides a comprehensive overview of microplastic pollution, emphasizing its sources, environmental fate, detection methods, and innovative remediation strategies. The book explores cutting-edge technologies such as advanced detection techniques, enzymatic degradation, and chemical oxidation processes, alongside traditional physical and biological approaches.

Covering topics like microplastic transport, transformation into nanoplastics, and their role as vectors for contaminants, it offers detailed insights into current challenges and emerging solutions across ecosystems, including aquatic, terrestrial, and atmospheric environments. The inclusion of global case studies and policy analysis aims to bridge scientific research with practical applications, promoting sustainable management and circular economy models. This edited volume is designed for researchers, environmental scientists, policymakers, and industry professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of microplastic pollution and develop effective mitigation strategies.

It serves as a vital resource for graduate students, academics, and practitioners aiming to address one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time, fostering innovation and informed decision-making in microplastic management.

    • Covers the full lifecycle of microplastics - from their sources and detection to ecological health impacts and policy responses.
    • Presents innovative remediation technologies (nanotech, enzymatic degradation, AI-based detection) alongside traditional methods.
    • Features global case studies and policy analysis for practical, real-world insights.
