    Beskrivning

Non-Conventional Machining of Polymer Matrix Composites serves as a comprehensive guide on advanced machining techniques used for the processing of polymer matrix composites (PMCs). Its primary objective is to explore cutting-edge, non-conventional machining processes for PMCs, offering significant advancements in precision and surface finish that conventional machining cannot achieve. This timely and significant book addresses the evolving needs of industries requiring high-performance materials. It covers the machining of both synthetic and natural fiber reinforced PMCs, advanced filler reinforced PMCs, and discusses relevant aspects such as surface integrity, optimization, and sustainability.

With the growing use of PMCs in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and electronics, this book delves into non-conventional machining methods like Abrasive Water Jet Machining (AWJM), Water Jet Machining (WJM), Ultrasonic Machining (USM), Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), and Plasma Arc Machining (PAM). In addition, it provides insights into the principles, operational practices, performance characteristics, and challenges of machining PMCs.

    • Includes comprehensive coverage of recent developments in non-conventional machining processes
    • Provides detailed guidelines on parameter optimization
    • Focuses on synthetic and natural fiber composites
    • Delves into real-world case studies and practical insights
