Mer om författaren

Dr. Muhammad Arshad is a tenured Associate Professor at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore, Jhang Campus, Pakistan. With over 20 years of interdisciplinary experience, his research focuses on environmental biotechnology, bioenergy, and microplastic pollution. He has led significant studies on microplastic contamination in dental healthcare units, analyzing seasonal variations, polymer types, and morphological characteristics of airborne and surface microplastics. Dr. Arshad earned his Ph.D. from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, specializing in bioethanol production. His expertise includes microplastic contamination pathways and mitigation, bioenergy, biodegradable bioplastics from organic waste, and environmental health risks associated with microplastics. He has successfully managed multiple HEC-funded projects and delivered keynote speeches at over 30 national and international conferences, including those on One Health. Committed to environmental safety and innovation, Dr. Arshad’s work advances healthcare policy, raises public awareness, and promotes green technologies to address the growing microplastic crisis.
