Beskrivning
Often overshadowed by the wealth of color work that the artist produced, Rackham's ink work is first rate and richly deserving of individual attention. This volume collects images from throughout his career, including Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and some rare periodical work. Includes two seldom-seen magazine features on the artist.

Mer om författaren
Arthur Rackham is widely regarded as one of the leading illustrators from the golden age of British book illustration, which roughly encompassed the years from 1890 until the end of WWI. During that period there was a strong market for high-quality illustrated books that were typically given as Christmas gifts, and Rackham was the premier illustrator in that field.
