    If you're just looking for a practical guide on how to find peyote, psyllium mushrooms, and jimson weed and how to prepare them for use then this is a book for you but if you're looking for the spiritual lessons of Don Juan you can skip to the 3rd book in the trilogy "Journey To Ixtlan".

    Ett tidsdokument från 1960-talet om bruket av hallucinogena droger, med utgångspunkt i vissa mellanamerikanska ursprungsbefolkningars utövande av shamanism.
    Välskriven och mycket mer än en antropologisk vetenskaplig dokumentation.
    Jag läste den här boken i svensk översättning för ca 35 år sedan och det är naturligtvis med andra ögon jag läser idag. Då var jag fascinerad, nu är jag... något mindre fascinerad.
    Är man intresserad av frågorna är den här boken antagligen en väldigt lämplig ingång. Är man det inte kan man nog bli lite uttråkad.
