Shekhar Jain is a distinguished academician and researcher in Biotechnology and Microbiology, with over 14 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership at premier institutions. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Life Sciences at Mandsaur University, Madhya Pradesh, India, and as Deputy Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). Dr. Jain holds a doctoral degree from Mody University of Science and Technology, Rajasthan, India, and has qualified several highly competitive national examinations, including CSIR-NET, ICAR-NET, GATE, and R-SET. His research focuses on plant–microbe interactions, microbial biocontrol, and climate-resilient sustainable agriculture, with an emphasis on translating microbial innovations into practical solutions for crop productivity and stress management. He has an extensive research portfolio, with over 50 publications, including peer-reviewed articles in reputed journals, book chapters and editorial contributions. He has also contributed significantly to microbial genomics and sequence databases. Dr. Jain is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the I2OR International Young Scientist Award (2020–21), MBSI Senior Scientist Award (2021–22), and Biotechnology Research Excellence Award (2023). He also holds three granted Indian patents in plant growth promotion and biocontrol technologies. He has served as a reviewer and editor for leading international journals and was honored with the Outstanding Research Topic Award (2022) by Frontiers in Microbiology. He also serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at GLA University in India. Dr. Vaishnav received his doctoral degree in 2017 from Mody University of Science and Technology (India), specializing in Plant-Microbe Interactions. In 2018, he was awarded the SERB-NPDF grant at Banaras Hindu University (India) to work on the remediation of nitrile compounds in soil. In 2021, he secured a Swiss Excellence Postdoctoral Grant at the University of Zurich (Switzerland). Throughout his Ph.D. and previous postdoctoral fellowship, he gained extensive knowledge in plant-soil-microbe interactions. His research was among the first to explore the role of microbial volatiles in plant interactions. Dr. Vaishnav has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers, authored 8 books, and holds 4 patents. He has received several accolades, including the AMI Young Scientist Award (2022) and the Asian PGPR Young Scientist Award (2021). At his current position, he focuses on multi-kingdom interactions in soil for recycling of organic nutrients and their uptake in plants, as well as how arbuscular mycorrhiza may influence these interactions. Recently, Dr. Vaishnav was awarded the Seal of Excellence in the Marie Curie Fellowship, a prestigious grant funded by the European Commission. He also secured position in top 2% scientist list 2025, compiled by Elsevier and Stanford University. Dr. Vaishnav is dedicated to advancing knowledge in microbiology and biotechnology, contributing significantly to sustainable agricultural practices.Deepika Sharma is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Amity Institute of Organic Agriculture, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, India. She has obtained her B.Sc. (Hons.) in Horticulture, M.Sc. (Agriculture) in Plant Pathology, and Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India. Her research interests focus on the utilization of natural resources and endophytic microorganisms for sustainable disease management in vegetable crops, particularly through seed biopriming techniques. Her areas of expertise include mushroom cultivation, organic approaches to plant disease management, seed biopriming, seed pathology, and vegetable pathology. Dr. Deepika has also served as a Research Fellow in collaboration with Bayer Crop Science, where she conducted research on the application of virtual weather station–based disease forecasting systems for the management of foliar diseases in apple. For this research, she received the Second Best Poster Award at a National Symposium organized by the Himalayan Phytopathological Society. In recognition of her research contributions, she was awarded the Young Plant Pathologist Award in 2023 by Guru Kashi University (GKU), Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, Punjab, India. She has published several research articles in reputed national and international journals as European Journal of Plant Pathology, Plant Pathology, Indian Phytopathology, including Scopus-indexed journals as Plant Nano Biology and has actively participated in national and international conferences, workshops, and faculty development programs. Her current research emphasizes the development of eco-friendly and sustainable plant protection strategies for agricultural systems. Dr. Sharma has also qualified for the ICAR-NET examination in May 2018 and July 2023 and has guided 6 MSc students for their master's research on biostimulants and organic amendments. Geetanjali Baruah is an accomplished academician and researcher in the fields of molecular biology, microbiology, and applied agricultural biotechnology. She currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat, Assam, where she has been contributing to teaching, research, and academic development since 2021. Dr. Baruah holds a Ph.D. from Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, and completed her Master’s degree in Biotechnology from North Eastern Hill University, Shillong. She brings with her substantial research experience, having served as a Research Associate at the Citrus Research Station, Assam Agricultural University, Tinsukia, and as a Project Scientist at the State Biotechnology Cell under the Assam Science Technology and Environment Council (ASTEC), Guwahati. A dedicated researcher, Dr. Baruah has made significant contributions to scientific literature, including several high-quality publications in international peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and three edited volumes. She is an active member of several professional bodies, including the Botanical Society of Assam, Orchid Society of Assam, Assam Science Society, and serves as an Executive Member of Science for Social Welfare. In recognition of her scholarly contributions, she was awarded the Best Young Research Forum (YRF) Award at the 10th International Conference on Agriculture & Horticulture held in London, UK, in 2017, and received the Research Award from The Assam Kaziranga University for the 2022–23 academic session. In addition to her research and academic responsibilities, Dr. Baruah is actively engaged in mentoring emerging biotechnologists and supervising doctoral research scholars. Through her commitment to research excellence and education, she continues to advance knowledge in biotechnology and contribute to the development of sustainable agricultural practices.Doyeli Sanyal is a distinguished Agricultural Chemist with over 27 years of national and international experience spanning laboratory research, academia, consultancy, capacity building, and scientific diplomacy. She currently serves as the Director of the Amity Institute of Organic Agriculture at Amity University Uttar Pradesh, where she provides academic leadership and advances interdisciplinary research in sustainable agriculture and environmental sciences. Dr. Sanyal holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Chemicals from the prestigious Indian Agricultural Research Institute, with minor specializations in Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry, Biochemistry, Plant Pathology, Microbiology, and Agronomy, and is a double gold medallist for academic excellence. Her career includes significant contributions at the Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, where she led method development and validation for multi-residue pesticide analysis projects using advanced techniques such as GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, and ASE. She has also worked extensively on national and international projects relating to biopesticides, neem-based formulations, and biocontrol agents such as Paecilomyces lilacinus, and has contributed to national pesticide monitoring programs. Internationally, she served as an Analytical Chemistry expert with the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), receiving recognition during the Nobel Peace Prize (2013) award to OPCW. She later contributed to advanced research at TERI-Deakin Nanobiotechnology Centre, The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), focusing on nanobiotechnology, cosmeceuticals, nutraceuticals, and enzymatic bioremediation of emerging contaminants. Her research interests include pesticide chemistry, environmental toxicology, bioremediation of emerging pollutants (including pharmaceuticals and microplastics), carbon sequestration using geospatial tools, life cycle assessment, and plasma-based seed priming technologies for climate-resilient agriculture. He currently serves as Professor at Amity University Uttar Pradesh, where he contributes significantly to teaching, research, and academic leadership. Dr. Choudhary holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology with a minor in Biochemistry and brings over 25 years of extensive research and academic experience. Over the course of his career, he has progressed through various academic ranks, demonstrating excellence in both scholarship and mentorship. His research focuses on plant–microbe interactions, microbial biotechnology, and sustainable agricultural systems aimed at enhancing productivity under climate stress conditions.
