Authors also focus on emerging topics such as digital environments and human–robot interaction, highlighting the impact of modern technology on disposition and temperament. The Handbook centers on the idea that personality is dynamic and flexible, functioning as a major nexus through which societal change can occur while also allowing individuals to adapt to changing environments. The Handbook of Personality Processes is an essential resource for social and personality psychology researchers and academics, as well as students and scholars in multiple other sub-disciplines of psychology.
