Emre Tokgoz is a Professor at the State University of New York’s Farmingdale campus. He completed two PhD degrees in Mathematics and Industrial Engineering along with four master’s degrees in computer science, mathematics, engineering management, and biomedical engineering. His focus areas include integrating mathematics, industrial engineering, and computer science concepts along with their applications in biomedical engineering. His other research interests include computer security, rocket engine design and optimization, nonlinear optimization, game theory, artificial intelligence, facility allocation problems, vehicle routing problems, systems’ design and improvement, network theory and analysis, and inventory systems.Sophia Marra attended medical school at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. She is interested in pursuing a career in psychiatry/neurology. Sophia went to undergraduate school at Wesleyan University where she majored in Neuroscience and Behavior and Chemistry, as well as played varsity ice hockey. In between undergraduate school and medical school, she did clinical research in the areas of PTSD and ALS at the Veterans Affairs Biorepository Brain Bank. Percin Karakol began her medical studies in 1993 and specialized in plastic, reconstructive, and microsurgery. Her clinical practice focuses on war-related surgery, acute trauma, and limb replantation procedures. She completed her doctoral research on cellular therapies and traditional treatment modalities. Her academic interests remain deeply rooted in exploring the possibilities of the human brain, which continue to be a source of enduring curiosity and excitement in her scientific work.
