He obtained his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Jiwaji University, India, where his research focused on advancing the understanding of molecular mechanisms underlying human diseases. Dr. Verma's research explores the complex interactions between diet, lifestyle, host metabolism, and the gut microbiome in cancer development, progression, and survivorship. His work emphasizes the identification of evidence-based nutritional and lifestyle interventions that complement conventional cancer therapies and improve patient outcomes. His broader scientific interests include cancer metabolism, mitochondrial dysfunction, liquid biopsy, functional foods, autoimmune diseases, cardiometabolic disorders, precision health, and the application of artificial intelligence in biomedical and public health research. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles, book chapters, and review papers published in international journals, contributing to the growing body of knowledge in nutrition, oncology, and preventive medicine. In addition to his research publications, Dr. Verma has undertaken advanced professional training through internationally renowned institutions, including Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, Harvard University, Tata Memorial Hospital, and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), strengthening his expertise in cancer biology, clinical research, data science, and healthcare innovation.Dr. Verma is committed to translating scientific discoveries into practical healthcare solutions by integrating molecular research with nutrition and lifestyle interventions. His long-term vision is to advance precision oncology and lifestyle medicine through collaborative, evidence-based research that improves health outcomes and quality of life for patients worldwide.Professor Prakash S Bisen (ORCID: 0000-0002-2818-7829) received PhD in 1972 and DSc in 1981 from Jabalpur University, Jabalpur, India. He has guided 60 doctoral theses and has to his credit 250 publications in indexed international journals of repute with 8 international books on contemporary issues in biological sciences. He was a fellow of the UNESCO/UNDP/ICRO and Hungarian Academy of Sciences at the Institute of Plant Physiology, Biological Research Center, Szeged, Hungary; U.S. National Science Foundation fellow in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago and in the Department of Bacteriology at the University of California, Davis; UNESCO/WHO fellow at the Institute of Microbiology, Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, Budejovika, Praha, Czechoslovakia; Marie Curie fellow at the Institute of Environmental and Biological Sciences, University of Lancaster, United Kingdom; and DAAD (German Academic Exchange Fellowship) fellow at the University of Bonn, Germany, First Indira Gandhi Fellowship for his outstanding work on environment conservation and management (cyanophages), National Overseas Associateship of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, UGC Career Award, State Level Kailash Nath Katju Award of Government of Madhya Pradesh for contributions in Life Sciences. He was awarded the Life Time Professorship, the highest honor of Bundhelkhand University, Jhansi, India.Prof. Mònica Bulló (ORCID: 0000-0002-0218-7046) is an internationally recognized leader in nutrition, food and metabolic health, combining scientific excellence with strategic vision and a proven capacity to shape research agendas and public policy. As PI of multiple competitive national and international projects, including large multicenter studies, she has demonstrated the ability to design and lead ambitious multidisciplinary programmes with clear translational and societal impact. Her leadership trajectory is sustained and aligned with institutional and public‑policy priorities. She co‑led the Human Nutrition Unit–Prevention and Epigenetics Group (URV‑IRB CatSud, 2012–2020) and held key roles within CIBERobn (2017–2022). Since 2021, she leads the Nutrition and Metabolic Health Group (URV‑IRB CatSud), recognized as a Group of Excellence by the Government of Catalonia, and since 2022 she directs TecnATox, consolidating high‑performing teams and research structures. Prof. Bulló has a distinguished record of influence on scientific and public‑health policy. Her appointments to the Executive Committee of the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO), the Scientific Committee of AESAN, and the Nutrition Committee of the Novo Nordisk Foundation place her at the center of evidence‑based policymaking. As Co‑Chair of the EASO Nutrition Working Group, she contributes to shaping European research priorities and policy agendas. Her role on the Board of the International Carbohydrate Quality Consortium and her engagement in the Catalan agri‑food innovation ecosystem further reinforces her capacity to translate scientific evidence into regulatory, industrial and innovation frameworks.
