Beskrivning
Global Sport Landscape Insights offers a new framework for understanding sport business as a complex global ecosystem, showing how organisations, markets and stakeholders interact within and across its networks.Global sport is being transformed by interconnected developments in technology, media, artificial intelligence, geopolitics, culture, and global capital. Together, these forces are reshaping how sport is organised, experienced, governed, and monetised. The book offers a strategic exploration of the global sport industry through three interconnected sections that examine mature, emerging, and developing markets across different regions. Using an interdisciplinary approach, it reveals how culture, economics, and policy converge to influence how sport is organised, consumed, and governed worldwide. The analysis categorises sport business frameworks by country and region, uncovering how state and non-state actors, from governments and international federations to media conglomerates and corporate sponsors, interact within this complex adaptive system to create collective economic, social, and cultural value. Extending traditional sport management perspectives, the authors identify the knowledge and skills gaps that impact nations' abilities to compete and innovate, offering a roadmap for anticipating future opportunities where AI-driven technologies, ESG strategies, and cross-cultural expertise will reshape how sport is played, consumed, and governed. This book will appeal to upper-level undergraduate and postgraduate students, academics, and researchers in sport management, business studies, international relations, cultural studies, and geopolitical analysis.
