Being and Resistance

Being and Resistance asks a fundamental question: what becomes of existence when it no longer resists? Moving from the micro to the macro—from inward resistance in the body, will, thought, and habit to its outward, embodied, social, technological, and political forms—the book develops resistance as a condition of meaningful being rather than merely an act of opposition. In dialogue with philosophy, religion, history, and contemporary technological culture, it explores how individuals and societies preserve dignity, judgment, and inner form against passivity, conformity, and domination. It culminates in Karbala as an enduring paradigm in which resistance becomes truth given form and aesthetic expression.
