Curriculum of Revelation

This book reimagines education as an event of revelation. Drawing on Jean-Luc Marion’s phenomenology of givenness and the lineage of reconceptualist curriculum theory, the book critiques the instrumental logic that has come to dominate education and reveals how this logic limits what can be seen, valued, and experienced in classrooms. Against this backdrop, the book seeks to revitalize phenomenology within education research, restoring it as both a philosophical and ethical disposition of receptivity, wonder, and attendance.Through a synthesis of philosophy, poetics, and lived classroom experience, the work develops an account of education as encounters with “moreness,” where meaning gives itself in excess of intention.
