A. Claire Cutler is Professor of International Relations and International Law at the University of Victoria, Canada. She is the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award as 'a trailblazer whose leadership, scholarship, widely cited research, mentoring, and international recognition speak to the profound influence of her work.' Her publications include The Politics of Private Transnational Governance by Contract (2017), New Constitutionalism and World Order (2014), Private Power and Global Authority: Transnational Merchant Law in the Global Political Economy (2003) and Private Authority and International Affairs (1999).
