Racism and Public Policy

Yusuf Bangura is Research Co-ordinator at the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development for projects on Public Sector Reform and Crisis States, and Economic Policy Making and Democratization. He received his undergraduate and doctoral degrees from the London School of Economics and Political Science and has taught in universities in Nigeria and Canada and worked as a visiting researcher in Sweden. Rodolfo Stavenhagen is a Professor at El Colegio de Mexico. He has carried out research on problems of development, agriculture, indigenous peoples, human rights and ethnic conflicts in the Third World. He was Assistant Director General of UNESCO, and sits on the board of several human rights organisations.
