He is the author of Semblances of Sovereignty: The Constitution, the State, and American Citizenship and the coauthor of The Arc of Protection: Reforming the International Refugee Regime. Alexandra Délano Alonso (QUEENS, NY) is a professor of Global Studies at The New School. She is the author of From Here and There: Diaspora Policies, Integration, and Social Rights beyond Borders and Mexico and Its Diaspora in the United States: Policies of Emigration since 1848.
