M. Gail Hickey earned her doctorate at The University of Tennessee. She is Professor of Educational Studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. She is the author of Bringing History Home: Local & Family History Projects for Grades K–6. Brian K. Lanahan earned his doctorate at The University of Florida. He is Assistant Professor of Social Studies Education at the College of Charleston.
