Living up to their promise, the authors deliver vital information on the core skills of seamanship in an easy-to-read manner, making this book a good corrective to digital dependency... Novices will find it invaluable, but even skilled veterans will pick up helpful (and potentially lifesaving) hints. * Nautilus Telegraph * Everything is clearly explained. Many of the illustrations are worth a thousand words, and every scenario gets you thinking about how you'd cope with it on your boat. Highly recommend. * Practical Boat Owner * This excellent book covers the full range of possible emergencies at sea with brief text and clear instructions. * Practical Boat Owner * The authors appear to have a common-sense approach, with plenty of coloured sketches in hand-drawn style to supplement the text. * CA * Highly recommended... Ollie Landsells lively and abundant illustrations are as stimulating as the text itself and frequently memorable. -- Julia Jones * Yachting Monthly * This book covers all the basics, with handy fact boxes to highlight especially important information. The authors have lent a modern, real-world approach to the subject matter, and the wonderful illustrations bring it to life. * Noonsite *
