Having lived in the Deep South all my life, I have seen first-hand what government handouts have done to individuals and families. What was meant to be a hand up has become a hand out, a means of keeping people dependent on government programs. This has become a well-established culture that families pass down from one generation to the next; thus, keeping generations doomed to the same future. This book gives a clear and concise account of this false hope and provides thought provoking opportunities for the reader and would make an excellent required reading in any economics or business course.
