Comparing Schools of Analytic Therapy

This work compares the ways in which different psychoanalytic theories interpret the same sample of material - that presented in Philip Roth's "Portnoy's Complaint". Some see Portnoy as neurotic, others see him as narcissistic, impotent or libidinous. He is also seen as a victim and a rapist.
