    Beskrivning

This new volume provides a comprehensive and current exploration of the rapidly evolving field of pharmaceutical microbiology, highlighting its critical role in drug development, public health, and therapeutic innovation. Bringing together fundamental principles and emerging advances, the book examines the complex interactions between microbiology and pharmaceutical science while addressing the growing global need for effective microbial monitoring and contamination control.Organized into thematic sections, the volume begins with foundational concepts in pharmaceutical microbiology before moving into microbial control strategies in pharmaceutical settings, emphasizing practical approaches for preventing and managing microbial contamination in pharmaceutical products and manufacturing environments. It further explores current perspectives on microbiology in drug development, demonstrating how microbial science contributes to the discovery, formulation, and safety evaluation of therapeutic agents. The book also underscores the worldwide importance of microbial surveillance and outbreak investigation in maintaining pharmaceutical quality and protecting public health. In addition, the chapters examine the transformative potential of nanotechnology in pharmaceutical microbiology and discuss future trends and emerging challenges that are expected to shape the discipline in the coming years. Combining theoretical understanding with practical relevance, the book offers readers a clear and accessible overview of contemporary pharmaceutical microbiology and its expanding applications across healthcare and industry.
