On the other hand, the commentary goes far beyond merely describing and categorizing the Directive’s provisions. Instead, the authors engage in a critical analysis of the articles and place them in a broader context. They highlight issues of application and interpretation that are inherent in the Directive, thereby also spurring further academic and policy discussions.’
