    På grund av min något enkla förståelse av det engelska språket tog det en hel del tid att tränga genom all avancerad text och alla resonemang. Den handlar om maskinsamhället som slog sönder det gamla hantverket och bondesamhället. En rakt igenom brutal och emotionellt svår tid i vår historia / min egen historia som sträcker sig ända fram till min morfars gård som fick avslutas och rivas på grund av motorvägen som drogs fram. "Maskinen" är en symbol för den värld vi levande tvingats in i, där hela den levande världen tvingas ge efter för teknokrati, exploatering av naturens resurser och mänskligt förtryck av olika slag. Jag jämför gärna denna bok med Anita Goldman "Det vilda hoppets geografi", båda talar samma språk. Djup humanism och andlighet. Viktiga böcker att läsa.
