In 1999, he later received South African Research Foundation (NRF) Fellowship award to join University of Stellenbosch, Institute for Polymer Science. He has published more than 400 research articles, 110 book-chapters and he currently, has a Google Scholar h-index of 50 with a current citation of 11000.
