Beyond the Nanoscale

Moharana Choudhury is an Indian researcher and environmentalist currently serving as Research Coordinator in the Environmental Research and Management Division of Voice of Environment, a scientific and environmental research organization based in Guwahati, Assam, India. He has over 14 years of experience in environmental research and government-supported scientific projects. He began his career as a Research Intern at the National Institute of Disaster Management, New Delhi, and later served as a Junior Research Fellow at the North Eastern Space Applications Centre (Department of Space, Government of India/ISRO). His work focuses on environmental conservation, sustainable development, wetland and heritage site management, and initiatives addressing single-use plastic pollution, particularly in Assam. He has authored or edited 15+ books, published over 45 research articles and 65 book chapters, and serves as an editor and reviewer for major international publishers, including Elsevier, Springer, the Royal Society of Chemistry, Wiley, CRC Press, and Frontiers. He is actively involved in environmental awareness, research dissemination, and advocacy for environmental education in India. He holds an MSc from Gurukul Kangri University, as well as postgraduate qualifications in GIS, environmental management, and rural development from North Eastern Hill University, Tezpur University, and the National Institute of Rural Development, respectively.Shrikaant Kulkarni is an Adjunct Professor at the Victorian Institute of Technology, Melbourne, and Lincoln University College, Malaysia. Over a career spanning four decades, he has worked across chemistry, engineering, management, and emerging technologies. His research and supervision cover engineering chemistry, green chemistry, nanotechnology, analytical chemistry, catalysis, chemical engineering materials, industrial organization, management and economics, advanced AI, and educational technology. He has supervised numerous PhD and postdoctoral researchers and frequently serves as an invited speaker and resource person at international conferences and faculty development programs, including a UNESCO-invited lecture on green chemistry education. Dr. Kulkarni has published more than 100 research papers in reputable journals and conference proceedings, edited 65 books, and authored over 100 book chapters, as well as four textbooks in engineering chemistry. He holds MSc, MPhil, and PhD degrees in Chemistry along with additional master’s degrees in Economics, Business Management, and Political Science. He has two published patents, along with two pending grant.Sushobhan Majumdar is an Assistant Professor of Geography at Pandit Raghunath Murmu Smriti Mahavidyalaya, affiliated with Bankura University, India. He holds a PhD in Geography and a Postgraduate Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS from Jadavpur University, and a postgraduate degree from Presidency University, Kolkata. With over 14 years of experience, his research focuses on urban and social geography, regional planning, transport geography, spatial intelligence, and geospatial technologies. He currently serves as a Reviewing Editor and Book Reviewer for Springer and contributes as an editor and reviewer for several international publishers, including Elsevier, the Royal Society of Chemistry, CRC Press, Wiley Scrivener, Cambridge Scholars Publishing, Frontiers, and AAP Press. Dr. Majumdar is the Co-Principal Investigator of a major research project funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). He has edited more than 18 scholarly books, published over 60 journal articles and more than 95 book chapters, and presented his work at over 35 national and international conferences. He has also delivered numerous invited lectures at academic institutions and professional programs. He is an active member of the Geographical Society of India, the Regional Science Association of India (RSAI), the Institute of Indian Geographers (IIG), and the National Association of Geographers of India (NAGI).
