    Beskrivning

Molecular imprinting, the polymerization of monomers in the presence of a template molecule which imprints structural information into the resulting polymers, is a scientific field which is rapidly gaining significance for a widening range of applications in biotechnology, biochemistry and pharmaceutical research. The methods and tools needed to distinguish target molecules from others by means of tailor-made receptors are constantly growing in importance and complexity. This book gives a concise and highly up-to-date overview of the remarkable progress made in this field in the last five years. The material is comprehensively presented by the authors, giving a thorough insight into fundamentals and applications for researchers in both industry and academy.

    Recensioner i media

"..a clear and detailed description..of interest to graduate students and researchers.."IEEE Electrical Insulation Magazine "...la tercera parte enumera un buen número de aplicaciones...En resumen, la obra es una revisión concisa y didáctica del progreso desarrollado en este campo de la ciencia durante los últimos cinco anos. Por todo ello, el libro aunque desenado inicialmente para graduados, ofrece también un gran interés para los investigadores industriales y con actividad en medois académos.Revista de Plásticos Modernos "...written in an easily understandable fashion that requires only a rudimentary knowledge of chemistry. The book is concise but presents many examples and allows the reader to obtain an understanding of this technology and the future implications without considerable time and effort. It is highly recommended for those interested in learning about an emerging technology that has relevance to chemistry (both synthetic and analytical), polymer science and biology as well as libraries covering these areas of science and technology."Polymer News "The book is very helpful for advanced-course students and researchers, who want to find an overview in this new methodology and to gain valuable hints for their future work."Colloid & Polymer Science "... compact, well-illustrated and excellently written textbook ..."Cellulose Chemistry and Technology(ed. by the Romanian Academy)
