Andreas Chwatal: Ink Wash on Paper brings together 300 of the most important works on paper by the Munich-based artist (b. 1982) from over the last 17 years. The artworks, some of them drawn in minute detail, are part of a continuous, fictitious pictorial narrative, which is presented in full for the first time here. With a text section featuring art-historical analysis, an interview with the artist, and a comprehensive overview of all works, this first monograph is like a catalogue raisonné of Chwatal’s oeuvre.
