Eberhard Havekost

Eberhard Havekost’s visual language uniquely combines representations of the visible world with the ‘user interfaces’ of today’s digital modernity. Published for the first posthumous retrospective, this survey brings together some 200 paintings and 60 works on paper from 1994 to 2019. Initially considered an exponent of ‘Dresden Pop’, Havekost rose from Berlin to become a star of the inter national art scene and spent the final nine years of his life as a professor at the Kunstakademie Dusseldorf.
