This book presents a study of alternative penalties to the death penalty in China, aiming to promote theoretical exploration of death penalty reform in China as well as long-term penal reform.
Dr Huang Gui is Ph.D. Associate Research Fellow at the Law School of Yunnan University, Kunming, China, and Post-doctoral Fellow at the Faculty of Law, University of Fribourg, Switzerland. He received the Ph.D. from University of Debrecen, Hungary, Master Degree in law from Beijing Normal University, and Bachelor Degree from Minzu University of China. His research interests are criminal punishment reform, criminal justice, and human rights.
