This book opens something deep within, reminding us that when we live from the heart, transformation becomes natural and inevitable.”— Robert G. Allen, New York Times best-selling co-author, The One Minute Millionaire“Dr. Tony Nader is one of the rarest voices of our time — a world-class neuroscientist who also speaks the language of ancient wisdom and quietly bridges the two. Reading this book, you realize that the small daily act of caring is connected to the very workings of the universe itself. A gentle and deeply profound book.”— Ken Honda, best-selling author of many books, including Happy Money“In The Power of Caring, Dr. Tony Nader takes on a delicate but critical topic — the vital importance of caring in our divided and disconnected world. This is a book that will change how you see every ripple you create.”— Janet Bray Attwood, New York Times best-selling co-author of The Passion Test and Your Hidden Riches“To care is to belong. The Power of Caring shares the critical importance for why caring matters now more than ever and how building the muscle of caring will strengthen every aspect of your life in immeasurable ways.”— Radha Agrawal, co-founder of Daybreaker, author of Belong“Tony Nader has done something extraordinary in this book — he's taken one of the most fundamental human experiences and given it a framework so clear and so grounded that you'll never think about caring the same way again. This is wisdom the world deeply needs right now.”— Chris Attwood, New York Times best-selling co-author of The Passion Test and Your Hidden Riches “Part neuroscience, part philosophy, part practical guide, The Power of Caring weaves together biology, ancient wisdom, and modern research into a unified vision of why our deepest human impulse — to give a damn — is also a powerful force for building a better life and a better world. It shows how each conscious act of kindness sets in motion an upward, self-reinforcing cycle — for ourselves and for all those our lives touch. Dr. Nader has written a book that you will want to share with your children — inspiring, scientifically grounded, philosophically rich, and a pleasure to read.”— Hon. W. Scott Gould, former Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs“In a society where caring is often treated as optional, The Power of Caring reframes it as a deliberate and essential driver of health. Grounded in hormonal, neurological, and psychosocial science, Dr. Nader makes a compelling case that caring is not just emotion but a physiologic, actionable choice. In fact, he challenges us to see caring, in all its forms, as a powerful determinant of our well-being. Thought-provoking and timely, this book challenges us to consider caring not just as a virtue, but as a fundamental recommendation — alongside diet and exercise — for living a heart-healthy life.”— Suzanne Steinbaum, MD, Preventive Cardiologist National Spokesperson, American Heart Association“In a world starving for deeper connection yet drowning in superficial solutions, Dr. Tony Nader reveals caring as one of the most powerful and transformative forces in existence. With extraordinary wisdom, scientific insight, and spiritual depth, he shows that caring is not merely something we do — it is who we are at the deepest level of our being.”— Debra Poneman, best-selling author and founder of Yes to Success, Inc.“In a world that desperately needs more love, Tony Nader has written the book we've been waiting for. The Power of Caring is a profound reminder that caring isn't just a feeling — it's a force that transforms lives, starting with your own.”— Steve Farber, author of The Radical Leap and Love is Just Damn Good Business and co-author of The Radical Promise“Caring is an expression of dharma — the natural order that sustains harmony in life. This book beautifully reminds us that in serving others, we honor the same Self present in all. When caring arises from deeper awareness, it becomes seva — selfless service. The Power of Caring offers a clear and practical understanding of this timeless truth. Rooted in a profound understanding of consciousness, this book reveals that caring is not merely action, but alignment with the unity underlying all existence.”— Swami Govind Dev Giriji Maharaj, Leader, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra“Dr. Tony Nader’s new book, The Power of Caring, arrives at a time when ‘the center cannot hold’ and voices of extremism are tearing apart the worlds of politics, media, and society itself. The message of his book is a healing balm for the self-inflicted wounds of this generation, revealing the compassionate core at the basis of all true science, religion, and philosophy. Dr. Nader’s concept of the Consciousness Paradigm — that ‘there’s only one big “Me” looking out from infinite perspectives’ — shows the way forward to a world in which, in the words of the prophet Isaiah (11:9), ‘There will be no wrong or violence on all My holy mountain, for knowledge of the Lord will fill the earth, as waters cover the sea.’”— Rabbi Alan Green, Rabbi Emeritus, Congregation Shaarey Zedek“With heartfelt greetings of loving-kindness and a serene mind from the peaks of the Himalayas — as a humble Buddhist monk from Nepal, the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha, I reflect on the teaching that true compassion arises from clear awareness. As expressed in The Power of Caring, caring is not something forced or tiring; it naturally develops when the mind is calm, steady, and free from confusion. The path of caring is the path of reducing suffering — both our own and that of others. This deeply aligns with the teachings of the Buddha, where wisdom and compassion must go together.”— Acharya Lama Dhan Dhoj Tamang, Chairman, Universal Golden Eye Foundation“To love one another is at the heart of the Christian message. This book offers a thoughtful reflection on how to live that calling with clarity, balance, and authenticity. True charity requires not only generosity, but discernment. The Power of Caring helps illuminate how to serve others while remaining grounded and faithful to one’s calling. Caring for others is a reflection of God’s love in action. This book provides a meaningful guide to living that love in a complex and demanding world.”— Father Gabriel Antonio Mejía Montoya, President, Hogares Claret Colombia“In Islam, caring for others is an act of faith and service to God. The Power of Caring offers a thoughtful perspective on how to live this principle with greater clarity and balance in today’s world. The Qur'an calls us to mercy, justice, and responsibility toward one another. This book helps illuminate how these values can be practiced in a way that sustains both the individual and the community. True care requires both compassion and wisdom. This work provides a meaningful reflection on how to serve others without losing one’s inner balance.”— Dr. Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi, Chief Imam, All India Imam Organisation“Tony Nader writes for those who wish to care without exhaustion or burnout. Here, classic good teaching on boundaries and self-care while caring for others meets Dr. Nader’s depth in neuroscience and as the worldwide leader of the TM organization. May this book support those who read it in bringing about greater measures of healing, balance, care, and coherence in their relationships and the world as a whole.”— The Reverend Anita R. Warner, Lutheran pastor“A compassionate and empowering guide to caring for others without losing yourself — grounded in a profound understanding of consciousness and its key role in truly flourishing. As a physician with decades of experience supporting women's health from the inside out, I welcome this wise and practical guide that reveals how to care deeply and actively while honoring your own needs and desires.”— Nancy Lonsdorf, MD, best-selling author of The Healthy Brain Solution for Women Over Forty“Blending personal stories from medicine with insights from neuroscience, behavioral psychology, philosophy, and a consciousness-based view of reality, this book shows how caring works — and how to do it wisely. This isn't a call to care more. It's an invitation to care better and, ultimately, to care better for yourself.”— Dr. César R. Molina, MD, FACC, board-certified cardiologist “In The Power of Caring, Dr. Nader examines the art of conscious caring — how to care wholly and fully without depleting our own inner resources. This expansive work — science-based yet wonderfully engaging — explores the full range of caring, from self-care to care for loved ones, to society as a whole and the cosmic significance of caring. The discussion and exercises in these pages provide lessons of great value, particularly for those in the caring professions, but really for anyone who cares for other human beings. A compassionate work, this book is itself a tremendous act of caring.”— Stuart Rothenberg, MD, chief medical officer, Institute for Mental Health & Resilience, David Lynch Foundation National Director, Transcendental Meditation Health Professionals Association“The Power of Caring captures something many of us feel but rarely articulate: the tension between wanting to give fully and the risk of losing ourselves in the process. This book offers a clear and grounded way through that tension, showing how caring, when approached with awareness, becomes a source of strength, connection, and a deeper sense of self.”— Donna Jones, Columbia University alumna“With remarkable clarity, Tony Nader bridges neuroscience, philosophy, and lived experience to illuminate the deeper nature of caring. This book offers a compelling framework for understanding how our choices, our relationships, and our well-being are fundamentally interconnected.”— Dr. Ravi and Dr. Naina Patel, founders of the Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center “The Power of Caring provides a foundational understanding and practical tools for self-care — the first step health care professionals must take to be truly empathetic and clinically effective — reflected in the wisdom of 'Physician, heal thyself.'“— Richard J. Carroll, MD, ScM, FACC, adjunct assistant professor, Department of Medical Education Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine
