Her work includes multiple disciplines and her clients include The New York Times, TIME, Newsweek, The New Yorker to WIRED, DC Comic, Penguin, and Scholastic, BBC, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Intel, Universal Pictures, SONY, Paramount, MTV, Nike, Hasbro, Target, the Smithsonian Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and Library of Congress. Yuko is a two-time Hugo Award nominee (2019, 2020), and has earned multiple Clio Awards (2023). In 2021 she was awarded the Caldecott Honor, for her work on the children’s book The Cat Man of Aleppo. Yuko was also chosen as one of the “100 Japanese People the World Respects” by Newsweek Japan in 2009.
