This volume presents the latest research and industrial applications in the areas of mechanism science, robotics and dynamics. The respective contributions cover such topics as computational kinematics, control issues in mechanical systems, mechanisms for medical rehabilitation, mechanisms for minimally invasive techniques, cable robots, design issues for mechanisms and robots, and the teaching and history of mechanisms. This book brings together investigations which combine theoretical and experimental results related to such systems as capsule micromechanisms, active micro catheters, nanotube vascular stents, mechanisms for micromilling, different compliant mechanisms including grippers and compliant systems with actuators and sensors, microrobots based on vibrations, tactile sensors, tooth brackets, compliant valves, and space reflectors. 

This volume contains twenty-two contributions from researchers from ten countries, represented at the 4th Conference on Microactuators and Micromechanisms, which was held in 2016 in Ilmenau, Germany. The aim of the conference was to provide a special opportunity for a know-how exchange and collaboration in various disciplines concerning systems pertaining to micro-technology.

Dieses Buch gibt dem Konstrukteur lehrhaft verständlich die Methoden und Werkzeuge zur Entwicklung und Auslegung ungleichmäßig übersetzender Getriebe an die Hand. Für die Lösung der zahlreichen Übungsaufgaben werden die Geometrieprogramme „Cinderella“ und „GeoGebra“ verwendet. Ausführliche Praxisbeispiele zeigen den Anwendungsbezug. Textlich besonders hervorgehobene Hinweise erleichtern dem Konstrukteur das Verständnis. Die bisherigen Übungsaufgaben sind weiterhin auf der Homepage des Instituts für Getriebetechnik und Maschinendynamik der RWTH Aachen zu finden. Völlig neu ist ein Kapitel über Rädergetriebe und der Einsatz von Farbbildern.
