This informative text/reference presents a detailed review of the state of the art in industrial sensor and control networks. The book examines a broad range of applications, along with their design objectives and technical challenges. The coverage includes fieldbus technologies, wireless communication technologies, network architectures, and resource management and optimization for industrial networks. Discussions are also provided on industrial communication standards for both wired and wireless technologies, as well as for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

This unique work will be of great value to all researchers involved in industrial sensor and control networks, wireless networking, and the Internet of Things.

This informative text/reference presents a detailed review of the state of the art in fog computing paradigm. In particular, the book examines a broad range of important cooperative and distributed computation algorithms, along with their design objectives and technical challenges.

The coverage includes the conceptual fundamental of fog computing, its practical applications, cooperative and distributed computation algorithms using optimization, swarm intelligence, matching theory, and reinforcement learning methods. Discussions are also provided on remaining challenges and open research issues for designing and developing the efficient distributed computation solutions in the next-generation of fog-enabled IoT systems.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings from the Third International Workshop on Graphical Models for Security, GraMSec 2016, held in Lisbon, Portugal, in June 2016. The 9 papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 23 submissions. The volume also contains the invited talk by Xinming Ou. GraMSec contributes to the development of well-founded graphical security models, efficient algorithms for their analysis, as well as methodologies for their practical usage.
