This book constitutes the revised selected papers from the 13 European Conference on Multi-Agent Systems, EUMAS 2015, and the Third International Conference on Agreement Technologies, AT 2015, held in Athens, Greece, in December 2015. The 36 papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 65 submissions.

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the 7th International Workshop on Engineering Societies in the Agents World, ESAW 2007, held in Athens, Greece, in October 2007. The 19 revised full papers were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in this book. The papers are organized in topical sections on electronic institutions, models of complex distributed systems with agents and societies; interaction in agent societies; engineering social intelligence in multi-agent systems; trust and reputation in agent societies; analysis, design and development of agent societies.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a dynamic field that is constantly expanding into new application areas, discovering new research challenges and facilitating the devel- ment of innovative products. Today’s information overload and rapid technological advancement raise needs for effective management of the complexity and heteroge- ity of knowledge, for intelligent and adaptable man–machine interfaces and for pr- ucts and applications that can learn and take decisions by themselves. Although the mystery of human-level intelligence has just started to be uncovered in various int- disciplinary fields, AI is inspired by the respective scientific areas to explore certain theories and models that will provide the methods and techniques to design and - velop human-centered applications that address the above-mentioned needs. This volume contains papers selected for presentation at the 5th Hellenic Conference on Artificial Intelligence (SETN 2008), the official meeting of the Hellenic Society for Artificial Intelligence (EETN). Previous conferences were held at the University of Piraeus (1996), at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2002), at the University of the Aegean (2004) and at the Institute of Computer Science at FORTH (Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas) and the University of Crete (2006).

Adaptation, for purposes of self-healing, self-protection, self-management, or self-regulation, is currently considered to be one of the most challenging pr- erties of distributed systems that operate in dynamic, unpredictable, and - tentially hostile environments. Engineering for adaptation is particularly c- plicated when the distributed system itself is composed of autonomous entities that, on one hand, may act collaboratively and with benevolence, and, on the other,maybehavesel?shlywhilepursuingtheirowninterests.Still,theseentities have to coordinate themselves in order to adapt appropriately to the prevailing environmental conditions, and furthermore, to deliberate upon their own and the system’s con?guration, and to be transparent to their users yet consistent with any human requirements. The question, therefore, of “how to organize the envisagedadaptationforsuchautonomousentitiesinasystematicway”becomes of paramount importance. The ?rst international workshop on “Organized Adaptation in Multi-Agent Systems” (OAMAS) was a one-day event held as part of the workshop p- gram arranged by the international conference on Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems (AAMAS). It was hosted in Estoril during May, 2008, and was attended by more than 30 researchers. OAMAS was the steady convergence of a number of lines of research which suggested that such a workshop would be timely and opportune. This includes the areas of autonomic computing, swarm intelligence, agent societies, self-organizing complex systems, and ‘emergence’ in general.

SETN 2010 was organized by the Hellenic Society of Arti?cial Intelligence and the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications, NCSR 'Demokritos' and took place in Athens during May 4-7.Previousconferences were held at the University of Piraeus (1996), at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2002), attheUniversityoftheAegean(Samos,2004,andSyros,2008),andjointlyatthe Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH) and the University of Crete (2006).SETN conferences play an important role in disseminating innovative and high-qualityscienti?c results by AI researchers,attractingnot only EETNm- bers but also scientists advancing and applying AI in many and diverse domains and from various Greek and international institutes. However, the most imp- tant aspect of SETN conferences is that they provide the context in which AI researchers meet and discuss their work, as well as an excellect opportunity for students to attend high-quality tutorials and get closer to AI results.

This book constitutes the thoroughly reviewed joint postprocessings of two international workshops on Coordination, Organization, Institutions and Norms in Agent Systems, COIN@AAMAS 2010, held in Toronto, Canada in May 2010 and COIN@MALLOW 2010, held in Lyon, France in August 2010. The 20 revised full papers presented went through several rounds of reviewing and revision and were carefully selected for presentations. The papers are organized in topical sections on normative systems design and modeling; social aspects; and norms at runtime: learning and enforcing.
