Wissenschaft ist eine der wichtigsten und einflussreichsten Eigentümlichkeiten der modernen Kultur. Nietzsches Philosophie zählt zu den bemerkenswertesten intellektuellen Auseinandersetzungen mit dieser modernen Kultur. Dabei hat er auch auf den Geltungscharak-ter und die Wirkung von Wissenschaft besonderes Augenmerk gerichtet. Dieser Band bringt erstmals Nietzsche-Forscher und Wissenschaftstheoretiker aus aller Welt zusammen, um Nietzsches Wissenschaftsphilosophie in umfassendem Zusammenhang anhand von vier thematischen Feldern zu behandeln. 1. Aktualität: Was trägt Nietzsche zu einem gegenwärti-gen Verständnis der Wissenschaften bei? 2. Rezeption: Welche Wirkung entfaltete Nietzsche in der Philosophie der Natur-, Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts? 3. Inhalt: Worin bestehen die zentralen Überlegungen Nietzsches zum ''Problem der Wissenschaft''? 4. Kontext: Welche Rolle spielen Nietzsches Lektüren und seine Auseinandersetzung mit den Wissenschaften seiner Zeit? Mit Beiträgen von Günter Abel, Babette Babich, Ronald Giere, Richard Schacht, Paul van Tongeren und vielen mehr.

Themenfelder im zweiten der beiden Teilbände sind: Varianten des Skeptizismus; Wechselwirkungen der Wissensformen (begriffliches und nicht-begriffliches Wissen, implizites und explizites Wissen, knowing-how und knowing-that); Wissen der ersten, zweiten und dritten Person; Praktisches Wissen und die Struktur von Handlungen; Wissen und das Problem des Dualismus; Disjunktivismus bezüglich Erfahrung und Wahrnehmung.

How do people and institutions manage to bring their different perspectives into an effective and productive interplay? How can we overcome obstacles for the creative potentials of distributed perspectives? Traditionally, the perspectives of people and institutions are considered to be fixed and isolated points of view. In such a picture, the perspectives seem determined in advance by positions and persons seem trapped within their perspectival horizons. In contrast, the new approach of this volume’s contributions focuses on the simple but fundamental fact that people (in their perceiving, speaking, thinking, and acting) always already refer to fellow human beings and coordinate their own perspectives with those of other persons and institutions. The contributions of the present volume concentrate on the structures, mechanisms, and dynamics of the interplays of different perspectives of interacting, communicating, and cooperating persons and institutions. The volume focuses on how the creative potentials as well as the organizational effectiveness of distributed perspectives can be set free.
