Förändringen av Sverige har fortsatt med oförminskad kraft. Rojas slutsats förblir aktuell: Det finns ingen återvändo till den typ av gemenskap som en gång definierade Sverige och det svenska, bara ett farväl. Ett farväl som dröjer såsom blicken vid ett kärt landskap vi aldrig kommer att återse.
Till 2021 års utgåva har Mauricio Rojas skrivit ett nytt förord där han skriver personligt om utvecklingen i Sverige och sin egen roll som politiker och samhällsdebattör. Författaren har även reviderat delar av den gamla texten.
