This book constitutes short papers, demonstration papers, Doctoral Consortium School papers and workshop papers which were presented at the 30th European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems, ADBIS 2026, which took place in Orléans, France, during September 28–October 1, 2026. They were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in this book.A total of 18 short papers and 5 demonstration papers from the main conference are included in these proceedings, together with 4 Doctoral Consortium School papers and 13 workshop papers. They were organized in the following topical sections: Similarity, topic modeling and knowledge graphs; Knowledge graphs, text-to-SQL and metadata extraction; Sustainability, privacy workflows and clinical analytics; Similarity search, truth discovery and anomaly detection; demos; Doctoral Consortium School; DEI4Teach: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Teaching Advanced Databases and Information Systems; MADEISD 2026: 8th Workshop on Modern Approaches in Data Engineering and Information System Design; FEHDA 2026: 2nd International Workshop on Fairness Exploration in Heterogeneous Data and Algorithms; and ERGA 2026: 2nd International Workshop on Entity Resolution and Graph Alignment.

Data warehouses have captured the attention of practitioners and researchers alike. But the design and optimization of data warehouses remains an art rather than a science. This book presents the first comparative review of the state of the art and best current practice of data warehouses. It covers source and data integration, multidimensional aggregation, query optimization, update propagation, metadata management, quality assessment, and design optimization. Also, based on results of the European Data Warehouse Quality project, it offers a conceptual framework by which the architecture and quality of data warehouse efforts can be assessed and improved using enriched metadata management combined with advanced techniques from databases, business modeling, and artificial intelligence. For researchers and database professionals in academia and industry, the book offers an excellent introduction to the issues of quality and metadata usage in the context of data warehouses.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of workshops, held at the 31st International Conference on Conceptual Modeling, ER 2012, in Florence, Italy in October 2012. The 32 revised papers presented together with 6 demonstrations were carefully reviewed and selected from 84 submissions. The papers are organized in sections on the workshops CMS 2012, EDCM-NoCoDa, MODIC, MORE-BI, RIGIM, SeCoGIS and WISM. The workshops cover different conceptual modeling topics, from requirements, goal and service modeling, to evolution and change management, to non-conventionaldata access, and they span a wide range of domains including Web information systems, geographical information systems, business intelligence, data-intensive computing.
