Most of modern enterprises, institutions, and organizations rely on knowledge-based management systems. In these systems, knowledge is gained from data analysis. Today, knowledge-based management systems include data warehouses as their core components. Data integrated in a data warehouse are analyzed by the so-called On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) applications designed to discover trends, patterns of behavior, and anomalies as well as finding dependencies between data. Massive amounts of integrated data and the complexity of integrated data coming from many different sources make data integration and processing challenging.

New Trends in Data Warehousing and Data Analysis brings together the most recent research and practical achievements in the DW and OLAP technologies. It provides an up-to-date bibliography of published works and the resource of research achievements. Finally, the book assists in the dissemination of knowledge in the field of advanced DW and OLAP.

This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed short papers, workshops and doctoral consortium papers of the 23rd European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems, ADBIS 2019, held in Bled, Slovenia, in September 2019.

The 19 short research papers and the 5 doctoral consortium papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 103 submissions, and the 31 workshop papers were selected out of 67 submitted papers. The papers are organized in the following sections: Short Papers; Workshops Papers; Doctoral Consortium Papers; and cover a wide spectrum of topics related to database and information systems technologies for advanced applications. 

This book constitutes thoroughly refereed short papers of the 24th European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems, ADBIS 2020, held in August 2020. ADBIS 2020 was to be held in Lyon, France, however due to COVID-19 pandemic the conference was held in online format.

The 18 presented short research papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 69 submissions. The papers are organized in the following sections: data access and database performance; machine learning; data processing; semantic web; data analytics.

The papers reflect a wide range of topics in the field of data integration, data warehousing, data analytics, and recently big data analytics, in a broad sense. The main objectives of this event are to explore, disseminate, and exchange knowledge in these fields.

The 23 full papers presented together with 5 keynote and tutorial papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 90 submissions. The 29 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 90 submissions. The selected short papers are organized in the following sections: data understanding, modeling and visualization; fairness in data processing; data management pipeline, information and process retrieval; data access optimization; data pre-processing and cleaning; data science and machine learning.
