    Phuong Nguyen-Tri is a full professor and director of the graduate program in energies and material science at the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics, Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), Québec, Canada. He is the founder of the Laboratory of Advanced Materials for Energy and Environment (Nguyen-Tri Lab) at UQTR and holds the UQTR Research Chair of Advanced Materials for Health and Security at Work. His main research interests are nanomaterials, hybrid nanoparticles, innovative coatings, polymer crystallization, polymer aging, and polymer blends and composites.Dr. Sami Rtimi, PhD is Scientific Advisor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). He is an expert in thin film design and preparation for self-sterilizing and self-cleaning applications. Dr. Rtimi has authored several peer-reviewed studies and reviews, book chapters, patents, and presented at several international meetings & conferences. He is an experienced editor of Elsevier books and has served as guest editor for several special journal issues in his area of expertise. Claudiane Ouellet-Plamondon is a Professor at the Department of Construction Engineering, École de technologie superieure, Université du Québec, Montréal, Canada. Her research focuses in the characterization and functionalization of materials.
