Ada Romaine-Davis, associate professor and director of Baccalaureate Programs at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, has 45 years nursing experience in positions ranging from staff nurse to supervisor in hospitals. She has a PhD in higher education administration, supervision and curriculum, an MS degree in public health nursing and has completed post-doctoral study in the history of medicine. She has written at length about health care. Her previous books include Home Health Care: An Annotated Bibliographywith Ayeliffe Lenihan and M. Shannon (Greenwood, 1992).Jennifer Boondas is a clinical nurse and a specialist in gerontology with a broad base of experience in community health and clinical practice. Her professional career has included 30 years with the U.S. Public Health Service at all levels of government. She has participated in a multidiscipline collaborative effort to develop and improve home health services. More recently she has been engaged in a major research effort at Georgetown University to design a home health patient classification system. Now retired, she serves as a consultant in the field of gerontology. She has MS degrees in nursing gerontology and public health, and nursing degrees and diplomas. She has written at length on nursing and home care.Ayeliffe Lenihan has held academic positions at the University of Maryland and George Mason University, and has consulted widely in universities and organizations regarding the elderly. Prior to her retirement she was also project director on the federal grant, An Assessment Tool to Identify Self-Care Behavior in Community-Based Elderly.
